The Hofner Preamp was initially designed to be a go between for your guitar and tube radio back in the day if you didn't have a dedicated tube guitar amp, and happened to have a tube radio. Well fast forward 80 years, and I have a tube guitar amp and no such thing as a basic radio, but this circuit is a great go between to liven up even the most lively and dynamic tube amp. It enhances every aspect of your amps natural tone beautifully and brings out a full spectrum of dynamics you never knew you had. You will turn it on and not want to turn it off. Deeper lows, brighter highs, rich mid-range all you want. Controls for volume and vibe are on the top.
